Governance Member Biography - Phylomena McMorrow

Phylomena currently holds the post of Director of Registry and was appointed to this position in 2009.  She has over 25 years experience working in the area of University administration, which has been acquired across a range of functions and roles. 

Phylomena’s experience to date was gained within higher education during a time of significant change and challenges.   She has chaired a number of University working groups which were tasked with implementing change.  She is also a member of several University Committees including the University Standards Committee, the Space Planning and Management Committee, Academic Council and has drafted many University regulatory and procedural documents which have been approved by these committees.  The experience gained as a member of the Quality Promotion Committee from 2009 – 2013, which included acting as Rapporteur for a departmental quality review, is extremely valuable and of particular relevance now as a member of Governing Authority.   

Phylomena McMorrow was elected to the role of a non-academic DCU staff member of Governing Authority in December 2012.
