The Teaching Enhancement unit, together with the Learning & Organisational Development, provide this programme to support research staff who wish to develop their teaching skills.

Aims of this course: 

Teaching is an important and exciting part of an academic career. This interactive session aims to give those new or returning to teaching some guidance to assist their teaching practice. It is designed to offer insight into some basic theories and models of learning and introduce some core technologies and resources of potential interest. The session will also touch on potential considerations to keep in mind when moving from a research to a teaching role. 

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Consider the factors that are likely to influence a successful learning experience
  • Identify a selection of well-known learning theories
  • Engage with core educational technologies at DCU 
  • Explore the transition from researcher to teacher

HOW TO REGISTER FOR THIS COURSE
