Staff Development

DCU offers a wide range of supports to aid staff in their continuous personal and professional development.

These include:

  • Learning and Development Opportunities - HR Learning and Development helps maximise learning and growth by providing a range of courses, events and solutions at individual, team and organisational levels.
  • Educational (Fee) Supports - The University is committed to supporting staff members in their professional development, and in furthering the goals of the School/Unit and the University. The purpose of these Educational Support schemes is to assist staff who wish to embark on further education.
  • Study Leave - Staff members pursuing a further education course can apply for study leave.
  • Mentoring, Buddying and Coaching Schemes - DCU offers a range of mentoring, buddying and coaching schemes which are designed to support staff in their professional development while promoting a culture of personal and professional growth within DCU.
