Staff Supports

DCU values the well-being of all staff and is committed to maintaining and promoting a work environment that inclusive to all and supports staff throughout their career with the University.

We provide a range of policies, programmes and initiatives that put staff wellbeing and inclusivity at the centre of everything we do.

Supports include:

The service includes a Support Hub that provides instant access to a range of  information, guidance, screening and intervention tools, tailored specifically to help care for your wellbeing.
  • New Staff Orientation - This Online Orientation is designed to provide new staff members with an introduction to the DCU Community, our history, strategy values and structures.  It will also provide staff with lots of information on the supports available to them - no matter what their role.
  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion - DCU aims to develop a diverse community that is resilient, accomplished and adaptable and which creates a positive impact on our students and society. Through our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, we will create a workplace that that is inclusive at all levels, one that embraces and celebrates our visible and invisible differences.
  • Maternity Leave Toolkit - DCU recognises that it has a responsibility to support employees before during and after maternity leave  This Toolkit provides full details of the DCU Maternity Leave Policy, the roles and responsibilities of both management and staff as they relate to the policy and access to further information and supports.  Within this toolkit you will also find information around Keep In Touch (KIT) Days, Maternity Teaching Buyout Scheme and the Maternity Buddy Scheme
