Aims of the course: 

This workshop provides an introduction to Project Management for those either unfamiliar with the methods or in need of a refresher. It focuses on the skills of project management such as planning, tracking, analysing risk and managing teams. The workshop uses a 'Drawing Drawing' technique where the facilitator, Steve Hutchinson, links the ideas in the workshop together via a conceptual drawing completed over the course of the day. 

After completing the workshop you will be able to:

    • define the scope of a project and develop a project proposal
    • recognise how to communicate a plan to stakeholders and teams
    • complete basic budget estimates 
    • understand what's involved in managing resources
    • recognise the methods for identifying, prioritising and managing risks and deal with issues and complications
    • identify best ways to lead projects (including managing relationships with partners, sponsors, and other stakeholders in the project)
