DCU to host National Moot Court Competition 2019

This year's National Moot Court Competition, hosted by Dublin City University and sponsored by A&L Goodbody, will take place on Saturday 16th November 2019 at the Criminal Courts of Justice complex, Parkgate Street, Dublin. 

Each institution can enter a maximum of 5 teams with teams comprised of 3 students.

Entry deadline: 5.00 pm, Monday October 28th 2019

Entrance fee: €25 per team

Written Submission deadline: 5.00 pm Friday, 8 November, 2019.

Prizes: There are prizes for the Winning Team, Best Speaker in the Final and Best Memorials. 

This year's problem revolves around the tort of nervous shock. Students are required to prepare written submissions for the Plaintiff/Appellant and written submissions for the Defendant/ Respondent. Students will deliver oral arguments on 16 November at the Criminal Courts of Justice.
