Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering - Postgraduate Degree Programmes
mechanical & manufacturing engineering
computer aided mechanical and manufacturing engineering (CAMME)
Graduate Diploma
Introduction
The aim of the Graduate Diploma (GD) in Computer Aided Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering programme is to widen the knowledge and skills of students in the following areas of Computer Aided Engineering: CNC Machining, CAD/CAM, Automated Assembly and Inspection, Computerised Simulation, Costing, Scheduling and Statistical Process Control.
The GD programme is for students who do not have the entry qualification to enter the Masters in CAMME programme directly. Subject to their results, GD students may transfer to the Masters programme at a later stage.
Programme Structure
To complete the GD programme, students have to pass 8 modules with 60 credits in total.
Students who gain a minimum of 55% weighted aggregate mark after the first 30 credits or after the full 60 credits may transfer to the MSc programme.
Entry Requirements
The following minimum entry requirements for the GD programme are normally applicable (one of the following):
A degree in Mechanical and/or Manufacturing Engineering discipline (normally lower than H2.2).
Successful completion of the Access Course (minimum weighted aggregate mark 40%, all modules passed.

Mode of Operation
The GD in CAMME programme is currently offered in Full-time and Part-time, On-campus and Guided-study mode.
In Full-time mode, the programme can be completed within one year (two semesters).
Students can join the programme in October or February every year.
Substantial fee support for EU students is available from the HEA Postgraduate Skills Conversion Scheme.
