MSc

Introduction

The aim of the MSc in Computer Aided Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering programme is to widen the knowledge and skills of students in the following areas of Computer Aided Engineering: CNC Machining, CAD/CAM, Automated Assembly and Inspection, Computerised Simulation, Costing, Scheduling and Statistical Process Control.

Programme Structure

To complete the MSc programme, students have to pass 8 modules (60 credits) and to develop a project for 15 credits.

Entry Requirements

The following minimum entry requirements for direct entry to the MSc programme are normally applicable (one of the following):

  •  A H2.2 honours degree in Mechanical and/or Manufacturing Engineering discipline at Bachelors level, or its equivalent.

  •  A Graduate Diploma in Computer-Aided Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering with a minimum weighted aggregate mark of 55%

Note: students can also transfer from the GD programme after the first 30 credits.
