The schools disciplines cover most of the manufacturing and mechanical activities found within the area of industrial interest. The research profile reflects the research interests of individual staff members but a number of strategic research areas have been identified in this report which comprise of smaller units of activity. This document, summarizes the recent research activities of the school. It has been prepared in order to provide information to industry on the areas in which we have specialist expertise and equipment, to give potential research students a guide to the general research activities of the school, and to inform researchers both within and outside the University of the current status of research projects.
