Research Day 2022

On Thursday, April 7th, the Faculty of Engineering and Computing hosted Research Day 2022, the first in-person event celebrating researchers within the faculty in two years.

The theme of the event was “Maximising Your Research Impact” and there was a range of speakers who explored this theme from a variety of perspectives. Speakers at this event included the Executive Dean and Associate Dean for Research at the Faculty of Engineering and Computing and DCU’s Director of Communications and Marketing among others.

2nd and 3rd year PhD students delivered a series of quick-fire presentations about their research lasting for 3-minutes and a team of interdisciplinary academics judged the best presentations. Our PhD candidates then moved into the foyer of the Stokes building where graphical abstracts of their research were on display. Our judging panel reviewed their graphical abstracts and selected two winners. During this session, attendees mingled and discussed the research on display.
