Thin cylinder apparatus

The Thin Cylinder apparatus consists of a thin walled aluminium cylinder of 80mm inside diameter and 3mm wall thickness. Operating the hydrauliuc pump pressurises the cylinder with oil. The cylinder has six sensors on its surface that measure the applied strain.
