
Congratulations on your DCU course offer!
We have listed the steps you will need to take from now until we welcome you in September.

Step 1: Applications
Once we have received your completed application through the Student Application Portal (SAP), it will be assessed and, as required, will be sent forward to the relevant faculties in DCU for review.
We will contact you through your SAP account with updates during the process and with a final decision on your application.
If you receive an offer from us through your SAP account, you will need to accept the offer and pay the deposit by the reply date.

Step 2: Welcome Information & My DCU
You will receive log-in details by email to access DCU systems, your DCU email account and register for your course. Log-in details will be distributed in late August and September.
Once you have completed the steps to get access to DCU systems, you will then be able to:
- Register for your course and pay your fees
- Orientation information can be located at www.dcu.ie/orientation. You’ll also have access to 'My DCU-PG’ , the online general orientation programme on the Loop platform.

Step 3: Registration
Before coming to DCU, you must register online for the modules on your course.
You’ll need the registration information and instructions from Step 2 to do so.
Registration for first year postgraduate students, including Postgraduate Research, takes place between Monday, 21st August, to Friday, 1st September.

Student ID Cards
Once Registration has been completed, you can order your ID card online by following the instructions at the following link: https://www.dcu.ie/registry/id-card-application . Or alternatively, visit the Registry offices on either the Glasnevin or St Pats campus.

Step 4: Orientation
Orientation: After you register and pay your fees, you will have access to 'My DCU-PG’ on the Loop platform. Check out Student Support & Development's guide to Postgraduate Orientation at www.dcu.ie/orientation. This page will be live in September and will be updated regularly.
Programme Orientation: You will find instructions about how to access your Programme-specific Orientation via your Programme Page on Loop or you may be contacted by your Head of Programme.
On-Campus activity: Postgraduate students are welcome to attend on-campus activities for new students. Campus tours take place daily from 4th September. We will post more information about on-campus activities at a later date, visit www.dcu.ie/orientation.
Now that most of the serious work is done, you can start exploring all that DCU has to offer!

Accepting My Offer queries
Please accept your DCU offer through the SAP. For application queries, please contact postgraduateadmissions@dcu.ie and include your application number.
For international applications, please contact internationalapplications@dcu.ie and include your application number.

Registration Queries

Fees Queries
Fees should be paid as part of the online registration process, as outlined under Step 1.
If a third party is paying your fees, they can call the DCU easypay number 01-2530219 to make the payment. They will need your student number and date of birth to hand. Some 60% of your fees must be paid at this time, and the balance of 40% on or before 27th January, 2023.
If you have a SUSI grant, you are required to pay 60% of the total fees less the €3,500 SUSI award. You must have your SUSI application number during the registration process.

Orientation & Support Queries
You will be able to log in to 'My DCU-PG’ (the online orientation programme) on the Loop platform from the last two weeks of August.
Once in ‘My DCU-PG’ you will have access to your online orientation and further information about orientation is available at www.dcu.ie/orientation.
Programme-specific Orientation information will be available on your Programme Page on Loop or you may be contacted by your Head of Programme so please check your email. On campus activities will take place for postgraduate students from the 4th September.

Alumni Discount
DCU offers a 10% reduced fee scheme exclusive to all DCU graduates and outgoing final year students. It applies to any full time or part time taught Masters Programme for the 2021/22 academic year. The discount will be applied upon your payment of fees in Semester 2.

Information about My Programme & Timetables
Your programme chairperson will be in touch closer to the start date (11th September) to welcome you to the programme.
Faculties are working hard to finalise timetable details and we hope to get them to you as soon as possible
