Meet the Team

Aengus Gordon – Senior Business Analyst

Aengus’s primary areas of responsibility are to provide support to the Student Information System (ITS, CAO, PAC) and the Timetabling & Room booking applications (Scientia suite of software). His role as a Business Analyst includes systems upgrades, process redevelopment and improvement, business analysis, data analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping, ITIL framework, project initiation, project planning, project execution, project monitoring and control. He is a Graduate of TCD and DCU.  He joined Academic Systems in 2017, but is a DCU employee since 1998 and has worked on various I.T. projects within the Information Systems and Services Department.

Lisa Whelan – Senior Business Analyst

Lisa’s primary area of responsibility is to support the Timetabling and Room Booking systems (Scientia suite of applications), vendor and stakeholder engagement and co-ordination of the timetabling function within DCU via the Timetabling and Room Booking Operations Group. Together with her colleagues, Lisa has shared responsibility for the provision of 2nd line support in respect of the systems for which the unit is responsible. She has 15+ years working with IT systems both as an Analyst Programmer and Business Analyst and brings a breath of knowledge and experience to her role.  Since joining DCU in 2014 she has worked in the Registry and ISS on various projects including the incorporation Data Migration project, the SIS procurement project and various other smaller projects. She joined Academic Systems in January 2019.

Ambhalika Sounderraj – Business Analyst

Ambhalika’s primary area of responsibility is to support the Student Information System, (ITS, CAO, PAC).  Together with her colleagues, Ambhalika has shared responsibility for the provision of 2nd line support in respect of the systems for which the unit is responsible.  Her areas of expertise include business analysis, data analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping, process improvements, ITIL framework, Project Initiation, Project Planning, Project Execution, Project Monitoring and Control. She brings 10+ years of IT Business Analyst and IT Project Manager experience to DCU. She has worked both in the private sector and Higher Education sector in USA before moving to Ireland. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), Certified Scrum Master (CSM®) and Six Sigma Green Belt holder. She joined DCU in January 2019.
