The Irish Marie Skłodowska-Curie Office (IMSCO) is hosting a Zoom webinar on the MSCA 2025 Postdoctoral Fellowship call on Wednesday 26th March.
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship call will open on the 8th of May, with a deadline of the 10th September 2025. The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships provide PhD holders with funding to conduct research abroad, gain new skills, and advance their careers. Eligible applicants apply with a host organisation in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country, which can be a university, research institution, business, or other entity.
This webinar will provide an overview of the 2025 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship call, eligibility criteria, and key features. The webinar will feature a speaker from the European Commission, as well as perspectives from a successful awardee and supervisor.
It is open to researchers applying, or intending to apply, with an Ireland-based institution, as well as supervisors and research support staff from academic and non-academic organisations in Ireland.

The European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) is a European intergovernmental framework which funds interdisciplinary research networks (not research). These networks, called COST Actions, provide open spaces where researchers and innovators can connect, collaborate, and build their ideas together.
DCU Research Development and Support are holding an online information session on the EU COST Action funding opportunity. COST National coordinator David Flood and DCU call manager Christina Rushe will present giving a broad overview of the call and how to join. Click here to register for the session.
This online information session is open to all DCU researchers and innovators at any career stage and from any field of research, especially young researchers. The aim is to inform the research community on how to participate in COST Actions or submit a COST Action proposal, the role and impact of the COST programme, and the benefits of the COST offer.
The information session will cover the two ways of joining the COST programme:
-
Participate in an existing COST Action: During their lifetime, Actions provide opportunities to get involved in their activities through Training Schools, Short-term Scientific Missions, workshops, conferences, etc. You can also become a working group member or a Management committee member. Search for Actions and research areas that you are interested in via the Browse Actions.
-
Submit a proposal for a COST Action: If you have searched the Actions on the website and can't find any in your field you may consider proposing your own COST Action Network. If you’re looking to build or fund an international network in a new research area, or combine disciplines to look at existing challenges from a new perspective, then a COST Action might be a good next step. The COST Open Call is for new COST Actions, which cover the expenses of networking activities (not research). The Network of Proposers must include at least seven different COST Full or Cooperating Members, amongst which at least 50% shall be from COST Inclusiveness Target Countries.
