The European Commission has published a call for MSCA projects to take part in the Science is Wonderful! science fair. This annual science fair interactively showcases MSCA research projects and innovations through hands-on experiments, science shows, games and fun, inspiring activities.
The 2024 edition will take place in-person in Brussels on 25th and 26th April 2024. The 2024 science fair will offer excellent science engagement activities developed by researchers and projects supported by MSCA, addressing these primarily to teachers and pupils.
The Commission is calling on MSCA projects, fellows and alumni to present their research to approximately 5,000 young visitors over the two days. Applications have to be submitted by, or involve at least one, MSCA fellow or alum. Selected projects will be able to send two people to the fair, including one MSCA fellow/alum and another (MSCA) colleague, team member, coordinator or supervisor of their project.
The deadline for applications is 16th October 2023. Applications can be submitted through the dedicated form.

Five practical Factsheets (one for each Destination of the Horizon Europe Research Infrastructure (RI) Work Programme 2023-2024) were produced by EU-based National Contact Points as part of of RICH Europe project after a discussion about the the need of "easy to digest" material on RI Work Programme.
If you would like to get access to these useful briefing documents please get in touch with Katya McDonagh (ecaterina.mcdonagh@dcu.ie) in Research Support.
Please note that the 2023 version of the MSCA Doctoral Networks handbook is now published on the MSCA-NET website.

Please note that the DCU REC application form for ethical review of a research project involving human participants has been substantially revised. Researchers seeking to apply for DCU REC approval must now use the version dated 15th August 2023. The REC amendment form has also been updated, and previous form versions are no longer valid for submission. We hope the changes made will streamline the ethics application process for researchers.
The revised forms, along with the updated Participant Information Sheet and Informed Consent templates, can be accessed via the REC Forms - Applications, Templates and Amendments section of the Research Ethics webpage. They are also accessible via the Research Ethics Application Portal on Loop.
Please contact rec@dcu.ie with any queries on the DCU REC submission process.
