Prior experience in Erasmus+ projects is not required - experienced PIs and newcomers are all welcome.

The NORF-funded TROPIC (TRaining in OPen Research in an Irish Context) project is dedicated to promoting open research practices across Ireland, providing researchers across disciplines and methodologies with essential skills to enhance transparency and rigor in their work.
A Winter School on Open Research Practices will take place from 27-29 January 2025 in Maynooth University. This Winter School offers participants the opportunity to assess and integrate open research practices specific to their fields. Through hands-on, practical sessions, attendees will gain experience in data management, study preregistration, sharing open data and materials, and other best practices for making research more transparent and reproducible. Participants will also learn how to recognise and avoid questionable research practices and fraud. By the end of the program, each participant will leave with a personalised portfolio of open research practices tailored to their discipline and research activities.
This program is open to researchers across all discipline areas; places, however, are limited.
The deadline to register is 6th December 2024.
