Dr Dave Robbins, Associate Professor at the School of Communications and Co-Director of the DCU Centre for Climate and Society, is a partner in Media for future. Coordinated by the University of Aveiro, and with a consortium of seven partners from six EU countries, the project will bring together scientists and journalists to enhance their ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, raise awareness and inform about the urgency of climate change, and inspire action to address this global challenge. On a practical level, the aim of the project is to create a unique platform for climate communication as training for journalists and scientists. The project duration is three years, with funding of €400K.

Dr Christine O’Kelly, DCU Age-Friendly University Coordinator, is a partner in the Memorable project, which aims to foster a dementia-friendly society by training caregivers, artists, and cultural stakeholders to help make cultural institutions accommodating for people with dementia. Further outcomes of the project will be policy recommendations-based and the establishment of an international network of relevant stakeholders. The project duration is 30 months, with funding of €250K.
