As Vice-President for Research, Professor Dermot Diamond is responsible for formulating, communicating and implementing research policy on behalf of the university.

The Office of the Vice-President for Research:

  • Represents research interests in decision-making on appropriate external bodies.
  • Develops quality care procedures for the University's research effort.
  • Establishes, implements and evaluates research promotion initiatives.
  • Develops the physical and organisational research infrastructure at DCU.

The Office of the Vice-President for Research works closely with two groups established to prepare research policy decisions and to represent researchers' interests in decision-making.
