STEP Research Facilities Unit

The STEP Research Facilities Unit manages the universities open access Infrastructure Network (STEP-IN). This unit has oversight of the Core Facilities KPI performance as well as ensuring all processes and procedures are in place and up to date to cover managing access to equipment, training, SOP's for instruments, access cost calculations and registration of equipment with the funding agencies.

Key to the Unit is to increase utilisation on equipment and hence improve the quality and sustainability of the research infrastructure.
