DCU Success Rates in EI Commercialisation Fund Projects

Recently released figures from Enterprise Ireland have highlighted that DCU has the highest percentage of Commercialisation Fund approvals across the higher education institutions and institutes of technology in Ireland. The data shows that over half of DCUs Commercialisation Fund applications are approved (56%), an impressive success rate within a highly competitive programme. 

The Enterprise Ireland (EI) Commercialisation Fund programme supports the transfer of innovations developed in HEIs to the point where they can be commercialised as new products, services or companies in Ireland. DCU had the highest numbers of approved projects in 2013 (17) and also has the highest number approved to date in 2014 (7). The figures recieved from EI are evidence of DCUs leading role in terms of innovation and enterprise engagement in Ireland.
