I am currently an Assistant Professor of Public Policy at the School of Law & Government, Dublin City University (DCU). I am teaching in Master's Programme in Public Policy at DCU.

I currently serve as one of the coordinators of the Sociology of Social Policy and Social Welfare Research Network (RN26) of the European Sociological Association, and editorial board members of the Journal of Social Policy and New Perspectives on Turkey. I work on public policy, comparative social policy, health policy, humanitarian action, the interplay between human rights and social policy, and welfare politics.

I took my undergraduate degrees in Political Science & International Relations and Sociology from Bogazici University and I completed my PhD in Politics at the University of Leeds.
