SALIS has always had a tradition of welcoming International Visiting Researchers who came for different periods of time, to carry out research in our institution, so as to nurture further research.

Mr. Rubén Jarazo-Alvarez, Corunna University (Spain)

Research Fellow, Institute of Research in Irish Studies "Amergin"

Mr. Jarazo is the youngest member of a university research group in his local institution. He is currently investigating in the interaction of several peripheral literatures, especially in the case of Celtic and Galician literatures.

He is also working in different methodological approaches to Comparative Literature for his Ph.D. Dissertation based on cross-cultural relationships between Irish and Galician cultures.. He has published several articles on his subject such as "The Influence of The Black Book of Carmarthen in Galician Literature: a Palaeographic Approach" or "Two Peripheral Authors and One Tradition: Lord Dunsany and Álvaro Cunqueiro".
