Business Studies International
Studying a language along with your business degree is one of the most valuable things you can do in a world where business is ever more globally connected.
The Business Studies International degree is designed to create dynamic and resourceful business people who are confident working across cultures. You’ll study a range of business, language and cultural topics, and develop essential business skills in communication, information technology, teamwork, and problem solving—all vital for success in today’s global business environment.
You’ll also acquire proficiency in the foreign language of your choice (French, German, Spanish, Chinese or Japanese) and spend a year studying in a country where your chosen language is spoken.

BA in Global Business (France, Germany, Spain, USA, Canada)
The Global Business programmes offer a unique, competitive and highly rewarding opportunity to participate in two work placements and earn two business degrees in two countries. In your four years, you’ll gain the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the challenges of the diverse world of business by immersing yourself in another culture and developing a global business outlook.
You spend your first two years at DCU, gaining an understanding of the principles of business by studying subjects such as accounting, finance, economics and marketing. On transferring to the partner institution in Year Three, you will focus on international business and in Year Four, you have the opportunity to specialise in a variety of business areas.

BSc in Aviation Management (Pilot Studies or Air Traffic Controller Specialisms)
The BSc Aviation Management course is designed so that the first three years of the course provide you with a general introduction to business analysis, the aviation sector, technical aspects of piloting and industry relevant work experience through our famous INTRA programme. In your final year, you can opt to enter either flight training to qualify as a commercial pilot or choose to follow more specialist studies in aviation management. Additionally, this year we have also developed a pathway to become an air traffic controller through this programme.

BA in Accounting and Finance
The Accounting and Finance course is one of DCU’s longest-running and most popular programmes.
The course takes you from an introduction to accounting basics, through to more complex theoretical and practical accounting studies. You’ll also explore a myriad of other topics, including issues concerning business, law, IT, taxation, auditing, professional ethics, economics, corporate finance, investments, psychology, marketing, HR, management, and communications.
Graduates are granted generous exemptions from the examinations of professional accountancy bodies. In terms of employers you can choose from professional accountancy practices, industry, financial services and the public service, nationally and internationally.
