BEng in Mechatronic Engineering

Engineering is one of the most exciting courses and careers you can pursue.  As an engineer, you can find yourself at the heart of just about any field, from high-tech industry and medicine to financial services, energy-aware technologies and biotechnology, the cutting edge of dynamic industries of tomorrow.

Labour saving machines and robots are surpassing human speed and accuracy.  Moving parts that are precisely controlled by state of the art electronics. Mechatronic engineering is the science of combining mechanical, electronic and software engineering to create these ‘intelligent’ machines.

There is immense potential in this area and mechatronic engineering skills are in demand by both national and international companies, looking to ensure the products they manufacture are up to date and can be produced economically. Mechatronic engineering has the potential to enable you to design safer cars, build labour saving intelligent robots or interfacing the mechanical and electronic parts of renewable energy systems.
