Why you chose to study in DCU?

I chose to study in DCU as the St Patrick's campus was an extremely bright and welcoming place, and the atmosphere just felt right. I love the option within my degree to specialise in a certain subject so I can give my CV an extra edge!

One unique part about your course that you like

One of the best parts of the Bachelor of Education is the fact that in many seminars you get to put yourselves in the 'eye of the child', doing activities just like a child would be in your classroom, it can be extremely enjoyable! I also enjoy learning to do what I've always wanted to do, which is teach.

Best thing about DCU experience so far

By far my favourite thing about DCU is the atmosphere amongst the students and the staff. Everyone is so open and friendly and I never feel afraid to approach someone or have a conversation with them.

Advice you would give to your younger self thinking of what to do/ where to go 

If I could give myself advice when I was looking at colleges, I would have told myself to ask more questions! No question is ever stupid and everyone you meet is there to help you make the best decision for yourself. 

Plans after DCU 

Hopefully after DCU I'll be able to do a bit of travelling before starting teaching!
