Why you chose to study in DCU?
DCU was amongst my first three choices simply because of the variety of the courses it offered despite being a fairly new university. I had also heard from my friends about the numerous activities that go on throughout the year, and it made me feel that DCU not only gives a chance to succeed in academics but also helps the students to actively participate in extracurricular events and find out more about themselves.
One unique part about your course that you like
The best part about actuarial science and financial maths is the amount of opportunities it gives you in return of the time and work you invest in the 4 years. Also, the classes are fairly small so it allows you to get to know the fellow students really well.
Best thing about DCU experience so far
Advice you would give to your younger self thinking of what to do/ where to go
The only advice I have for my younger self is to try and experiment a little more with life choices in both studies and in general. And also to take it easy on yourself, and not to be overly worried because everything comes together eventually.
Plans after DCU
Once I graduate I'd love to clear my actuarial exams and be a chartered actuary in the States and would love to travel and explore all around the world.
