Academic Skills Workshops

Want to ace your year in college. 

If yes, be sure to attend the academic skills workshops. Learn the tips and tricks about how to successfully manage your studies and excel in your exams and assignments. The workshops will cover a wide variety of topics including learning styles, time management, academic writing, group work and presentation skills. 

The workshops are free of charge and are aimed at undergraduate students.  The location of the workshops depends on the numbers of students attending. An email will be sent to registered students confirming the location of the workshops.

This workshop will give an overview of basic group work theory before focussing on useful ways for individuals to deal with common issues and causes of conflict. Students will be involved in class discussion and peer work exercises to discover practical ways to communicate effectively and deal with common issues that arise in group work situations.
