Research in the DCU School of Computing
The School of Computing at Dublin City University provides a lively, supportive environment for research in many areas of computing. The School currently has over 70 research postgraduate students and a wide range of currently funded research projects at national and international level. Research within the school is divided into four main research groupings:
- Dependable Systems
- Modelling & Scientific Computing
- Information Management
- Language & Intelligence
The School houses the Centre for Next Generation Localisation (CNGL), part of the CLARITY: The Centre for Sensor Web Technologies group and the Scientific Computing and Complex Systems Modelling (Sci-Sym) research group.
Research is funded by national and international agencies including Science Foundation Ireland (SFI), Enterprise Ireland (EI), the Higher Education Authority (HEA), the Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology (IRCSET), Teagasc, Bord Iascaigh Mhara, the Department of Education and Science, and the E.U.
