DCU School of Computing win again

PwC Ireland hosted their annual student academic awards recently. This important event includes memorial awards and academic achievement prizes for both employees and external students. This year, for the second time, they awarded two prizes to students from the MSc. in Computing from the School of Computing, DCU. The latter awards were given for the highest Practicum result in the MSc and the highest Practicum result in Data Analytics.

First prize: Tom Skehin, title: "Day Ahead Forecasting of FAANG Stocks Using ARIMA and LSTM Networks and Wavelet Decomposition.", major Data Analytics. Supervisor: Dr. Martin Crane.

Second Prize: Stefan Compton, title: "A Practical System for Automatic Generation of
Scala Programs from Specifications", major Software Engineering. Supervisor: Dr. Geoff Hamilton.

This ongoing relationship between the School of Computing, DCU and PwC, the largest professional services company in the country is both important and encouraging for all involved.
