Psychosexual Therapy

The Psychosexual Therapy service in the Healthy Living Centre, Dublin City University is designed to assist couples and individuals who are experiencing emotional and psychological distress due to sexual difficulties.  Sexual problems are very common in Ireland and many women and men will experience a sexual problem at some time in their lives, such as:

  • Lack of interest in sex
  • Difficulties with sexual performance
  • Vaginismus and dyspareunia ( Pain on sexual intercourse)
  • Premature ejaculation or delayed ejaculation
  • Erection problems
  • Sexual phobia
  • Heightened sexual interest and sexual addiction
  • Sexual trauma as a result of childhood and/or adult sexual abuse
