Academic biography

Specialised in Public International Law, I am a teaching assistant at DCU School of Law and Government. I teach climate change politics, international human rights law, legal research methods and legal drafting. Prior to joining DCU, I completed a PhD in Law at University College Dublin, Sutherland School of Law. My research sits at the intersections of climate change law, environmental law and human rights law.

Research interests

My research interests lie at the intersections of environmental law, climate change law and human rights law. Through my work, I aim to advance the discourse on how legal mechanisms for environmental and climate protection should go hand in hand with considerations of the impact that the rapid transformations required by climate targets might have on people's rights. Related research interests revolve around public participation in the context of climate transitions and its role in relation to democracy.
