Having agreed a Schedule of Reviews, it it accepted that deferral of a review should only take place with the agreement of the University Executive. The following is the agreed procedure to be followed.
  • The Head (Director, Dean) of the Unit scheduled for review should contact the Director of Quality Promotion indicating that he/she wishes to defer a review and outlining the reasons for seeking a deferral of the review
  • The Director of Quality Promotion will contact the Head to clarify any matters
  • If, following the above discussion, the Head of the Unit still wishes to seek a deferral of the review, the Head should formally write to Executive indicating that he/she wishes to defer a review and outlining the reasons for seeking a deferral of the review
  • Out of courtesy, the letter should be copied to the Director of Quality Promotion
  • Executive will consider the matter and agree or otherwise to the deferral
  • Executive will communicate the above decision to the Head and to the Director of Quality Promotion
  • The Director of Quality Promotion will bring the decision to the attention of the Quality Promotion Committee at its next meeting and the Schedule of Reviews will be amended accordingly
  • The amendment to the Schedule of Reviews on the Quality Promotion Office website will be notified to staff, for information
