Quality Improvement and Development Funding (QuID)

Established in 2012, the DCU Quality Improvement and Development Fund (QuID) is an open funding call to support community-led quality enhancement initiatives across the University that will impact our staff, students and stakeholders.

The call embraces Collective Leadership as a core principle, recognising that staff from across all areas, grades and professions can be empowered to identify opportunities for improvement, pursue new ideas and effect change.

A limited amount of funding is made available annually and each year, the Quality Promotion Committee selects a theme for the call.

QuID Theme 2026:
Inclusivity: Design for Belonging

DCU’s strategic plan, Transformation for an Unscripted Future, is built on a people-first philosophy. Guided by the principles of People, Focus, and Impact, it commits to transforming lives and societies by creating a university where every person feels welcomed, valued, supported, and connected.

In alignment with this mission, the current QUID funding call seeks staff-led interventions that Design for Belonging. Further information on the call, including the application process can be viewed here.
