According to Times Higher Education DCU ranks 351-400 of over 2,000 other universities.
The university is 301st in the world for research environment (research productivity and reputation).

Times Higher Young University Rankings
DCU has been ranked joint 59th globally by Times Higher Young Universities, making it one of the top 100 young universities in the world.
DCU is now the top ranked Young University in Ireland, ahead of Maynooth University, the University of Limerick and Technological University Dublin.
DCU excels in their International Outlook, Citations Score and Research Reputation and Outputs.

QS World University Rankings
DCU are now ranked joint 436th globally out of over 1,500 Universities, showing excellence in academia. For the fourth year running DCU has improved its rank.
DCU excelled in their international staff and student ratio, and academic reputation, as well as contributions to sustainability and graduate employability, two new metrics measured by QS in this year ranking.

Dublin ranked joint 32nd best student city in the world for 2024. This is an improvement of 5 spots.
The Best Student Cities list is compiled by looking at university rankings, student view, student mix, desirability, employer activity & affordability.
Dublin’s vibrancy means the city scores highly in relation to student mix (7th in the world) and desirability (31st in the world).

Funded by the European Commission, this ranking does not use league tables to position universities in the traditional way. Instead, it presents an array of data for over 2,000 universities across the world.
