EU Applicants - How to Apply

Undergraduate applicants wishing to apply to DCU with EU qualifications make an application through the Central Applications Office (CAO). Please visit the CAO website here to make an application. Take note of the important closing date information for CAO applicants. 

Please visit the individual programme page which will outline the closing date, entry requirements and will also direct you to CAO to submit an application. The undergraduate programme course listing by faculty is available here.

Postgraduate applicants

International Applicants - How to Apply

Ukrainian Admissions - Applicants presenting Ukrainian qualifications while living within the EU, can apply through CAO here. Applicants presenting Ukrainian qualifications while living outside the EU (including the Ukraine), should apply through the DCU student application portal, available here. (* DCU English language requirements must be satisfied)

International Foundation Programme  - You may need to take a foundation course if you do not satisfy DCU’s minimum entrance requirements. Find out more about how to apply the International Foundation Programme by clicking here.

Pre-sessional English programmes - If you have a conditional offer of a place at DCU, but don’t satisfy DCU’s English language requirements, you may be able to take a five-week or 10-week pre-sessional English programme on the DCU campus. Once you successfully complete this programme, you can progress to your full-time DCU programme. For more information on the Pre-session English programmes, visit here.

How to Make an Application

The application process for Postgraduate Research is changing. 

If you plan to commence Postgraduate studies at DCU BEFORE 31st July 2024, i.e. grace period, please use this DCU Student Application Portal. Before making an application, please ensure that you have all appropriate entry requirements and that you provide all supporting documentation. 

If you plan to commence postgraduate studies at DCU AFTER 31st July 2024 i.e. September intake, please use the new application portal to begin your application by submitting a Postgraduate Research pre-application form.
