Over the last few months, the Faculty Research Integrity Advocates have facilitated six Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) across the Faculties at DCU. The purpose of the FGDs was to gather participants’ knowledge on the use of AI within research in their areas of expertise.
The FGDs are part of a QUID Funded University project which is exploring the use of AI in research across disciplines in the University. The information gathered from the various FGDs will provide a better institutional understanding of the AI tools currently being used for research at DCU. The next phase of the project will engage with members of the DCU research community to offer training on the Ethical Use of AI in Research before the start of the next academic year.
The Research Support Office would like to thank Dr Margaret Heffernan (DCU Business School), Dr Aisling Ní Dhiorbháin (DCU Institute of Education [IoE]), Dr Dónal Mulligan (DCU Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences), Dr Sinéad Smyth (DCU Faculty of Science and Health), and Prof. Gareth Jones (DCU Faculty of Engine and Computing) for their collaboration as Faculty Research Integrity Advocates in the project.
