Funding Schemes from the ERC

DCU seeks to become the host institution for international researchers who would like to relocate to Ireland to perform research of international quality in any of the four areas of strategic priority for the University. Candidates with excellent track record from anywhere in the world, including Ireland, are eligible to apply. Successful applicants will also receive a special support package from the University to ensure access to the best administration support and technical infrastructure.

Opportunities are available under three categories:

ERC Starting Grants

ERC Starting Grants aim to support top researchers with 2 to 7 years of experience after their PhD. Grants amount to up to €2M for up to five years

ERC Consolidator Grants

ERC Consolidator Grants are designe to support top researchers with 7-12 years of experience after their PhD. Grants amount to up to €2.75 million for up to five years. 

ERC Advanced Grants

ERC Advanced Grants are open to excellent established researches who have a recent research track-record which identifies them as leaders in therir4 respective field of research. Grants amount to up to €3.5M for up to five years.
