Academic biography

Jennifer Bruen is a Full Professor of Applied Linguistics and German and Head of the School of Applied Language and Intercultural Studies, DCU. She is a Senior Fellow, Advance HE and has degrees in International Business and Languages, Political Education, German Studies and Applied Linguistics. Jennifer has published in top journals in these fields and represents them nationally and internationally. Jennifer's research interests are primarily in applied linguistics. They encompass language planning and policy at national and EU level, as well as various aspects of foreign language acquisition, and language teaching and learning.
