Student Financial Assistance Service

The Student Assistance Fund provides financial support to students who are experiencing short or long-term financial difficulties while attending higher education. It is co-funded by the Irish Government and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.

Cost of Living at University. Whether living at home or away from home, acquiring financial awareness is very much part of your development and can add to a positive university experience. Sample budgets. Budgeting is a life skill. By developing this skill now, you can develop a habit to stay with you throughout your life.

Established by the Department of Education & Skills to support implementation of the National Plan for Equity of Access to Higher Education 2015-2019. Offered to undergraduates experiencing socio-economic disadvantage who are commencing third level education for the first time.
