Final Year and Postgraduate Taught students, The Careers Service are delighted to host a range of Careers sessions to guide you into the working world.
These sessions focus on areas such as job searching, planning your next career steps and how to optimise your LinkedIn. You will also have the opportunity to have your CV reviewed on the day at a CV Quick Query Clinic. The event is hybrid, so you have the option to attend in person or join remotely. Successful job searching strategies: 11.00 - 11.45am
During this session, we will take you through some top tips for job searching whilst also ensuring you are maintaining a professional brand. We will finish the session with Ruan Kennedy from DCU Counselling Service who will focus on resilience around applying for jobs.

Planning your next career steps: 11:45 -12:15pm
Gain insights into how you can effectively start exploring and identifying suitable career options. This will be an opportunity for you to start planning your next steps after DCU. We will also look at the benefits of career planning in terms of well being and job satisfaction.

Students have the opportunity to meet with a Careers Consultant on their CV (both face to face and the option of online).

During this session, representatives from LinkedIn will take you through using LinkedIn to network, as a tool to help for job searching and in your career.
