Information Session on the Washington Ireland Emerging Leaders Program.
The Washington Ireland Program for Service and Leadership brings outstanding university and college students from Northern Ireland and Ireland to Washington D.C. for an 8-week personal and professional development program.
These student leaders come from all backgrounds and offer different perspectives and innovation approaches to improving the island of Ireland.
WIP students are provided with an exclusive work placement related top their area of study or interest, in addition to leadership development training, speaker sessions with world leaders across the public and private sectors and visits to community organisations tacking social issues in the US.

About Washington Ireland Program:
For three decades, the Washington Ireland Program (WIP) has played an important role in post-conflict Northern Ireland and Ireland by bringing together leaders from a wide range of communities and backgrounds for outstanding leadership and skills-development programs. WIP’s aim is to support, inspire and develop leaders who are committed to building a future of peace and prosperity for Northern Ireland and Ireland.
Applications open in October of each year, interviews are held in January, and our first orientation weekends usually take place in early April. More information on our application process can be found here.
