Sheffield Hallam University Visit - Erasmus Knowledge Exchange Programme
It was wonderful to have Sheffield Hallam University Careers Service visit our DCU Careers Service team for two days. The visit is part of an Erasmus-funded Knowledge Exchange programme and provided an opportunity for Careers staff from both institutions to exchange ideas, knowledge and experiences around the current trends and future development and delivery of Careers and Employability work in our respective institutions.
Yvonne McLoughlin, Head of DCU Careers Service explained "The two days were both insightful and productive, affording each side to share and exchange knowledge, ideas and beneficial information. Other topics discussed centred on the student and employer experience including Internships, careers and wellbeing, working with international students, digital tools and social media in student engagement, and mentorship programmes".
Many thanks to DCU colleagues who met with SHU Careers including DCU Studio, TEU, and academic colleagues focusing on embedding career development and INTRA Internships in the curriculum. We look forward to continuing the conversation with SHU Careers!
