McNulty Building School of Computing

The School of Computing at Dublin City University was the first computing school in Ireland and has earned an international reputation for excellence in research and teaching.

In addition to its existing programmes the BSc in Computer Applications, the BSc in Enterprise Computing, the BSc in Data Science, we are bringing revised degrees on stream in 2021, including a BSc in Computer Science and a BSc in Computing in Business.

We offer a range of innovative taught programmes aimed at producing graduates with the professional and personal skills most sought after in the Information Economy.

Research and Innovation

The School of Computing is a stimulating environment for research, particularly in the areas of localization, data analytics, software engineering, scientific computing and cloud computing.

It currently has over 50 postgraduate research students and a wide range of funded projects at national and international level.

The School is heavily involved in three of the world-class global research centres launched by Science Foundation Ireland: the ADAPT, The Global Centre for Excellence for Digital Content and Media Innovation, Insight, The SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics and the Lero, The SFI Research Centre for Software.
