STEP - Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurial Practices

DCU National Centre for Family Business is the Irish partner to global STEP Project from Babson College, USA. The STEP project is the first worldwide research initiative to study the entrepreneurial process within family businesses.

Established in 2005 by the Institute for Family Enterprising at Babson College, Massachusetts, the research addresses the different requirements for long-term growth and productivity by partnering successful multi-generational family businesses from across the world with leading business experts and academic institutions. STEP has built a global partnership network of leading academic institutions in four regions of the world namely Europe, Latin America, Pacific Rim and North America. Noted international universities include HEC (France), ESADE (Spain), Bocconi (Italy), St.Gallen (Switzerland), Lancaster University (UK), and Babson College (USA). The International Partnership of Business Schools

IPBS - The International Partnership of Business Schools 

The International Partnership of Business Schools (IPBS) is a consortium of leading business schools located around the globe. 

As a member of IPBS, DCU Business School is part of an international collaboration between leading business schools (e.g. Northeastern University, Reims University, European Business School), many of which have centres for family business. The IPBS offers an opportunity for research collaboration, practitioner networking, and academic exchange.The IPBS partners offer undergraduate programmes that grant double degrees, require study in two countries, and promote language and cultural fluency along with business aptitude.
