Helping Hands Call for Volunteers

DCU staff and students are invited to give Barretstown a helping hand this summer. We are putting together a DCU team to help prepare Barretstown’s beautiful 500 acre site for the arrival of campers and families. Barretstown camps have been held virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic and with the camp reopening imminent, we need DCU staff and students to help get the camp ready.

What’s involved?

Volunteer tasks and projects include: landscaping, housekeeping, cottage preparation, trail maintenance, painting, spreading mulch, mending fences, and organising programme areas.

Helping Hands workdays generally run from 10am-4pm midweek and all participants receive an introductory talk and tour.
