Fiontar's Irish Language Policy
- Fiontar teaching is done entirely through the medium of Irish.
- Irish is always used in class notes, Powerpoint presentations and in any other materials used in the classroom.
- Examination papers are answered in Irish unleass an alternative is proposed.
- Continuous assessments are done through Irish unless an alternative is proposed.
- It is at the discretion of a lecturer to reduce continuous assessments or examination marks by up to 20%, or not to accept work, due to illegibility or lack of professionalism.
- Computer labs are available to Fiontar students on the understanding that they follow the school’s Irish language policy at all times.
