Academic biography

Dr Andrea Palandri (Postdoctoral researcher) has an undergraduate degree from ASNC in the University of Cambridge and was awarded his PhD from the Department of Modern Irish, UCC in 2018 for his thesis on the Irish translation of Marco Polo’s Travels, from the fifteenth century. He spent three years working as an O’Donovan Scholar in the School of Celtic Studies in DIAS after receiving his PhD. He is especially interested in Early Modern Irish prose, in the Modern Irish dialects and in managing language corpora.
