Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships
The Institute of Education at Dublin City University is looking to host an experienced researcher via funding through Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships. In order to secure funding, the experienced researcher must develop a proposal with the host for the September 14th 2022 deadline.
The Institute of Education is keen to host excellent postdoctoral researchers to work with our research teams in the areas of education from early years to further and higher education and/or the foundation disciplines including philosophy, sociology and psychology. We welcome expressions of interest from excellent candidates with international profiles interested in developing persuasive proposals with Institute of Education researchers for a MSCA-Postdoctoral Fellowship.
Organisation Description
The DCU Institute of Education is the newest faculty of Dublin City University and is based in DCU St Patrick’s Campus, Drumcondra. The Institute brings together students of education across all sectors from early childhood, to primary and post-primary, and further and higher education. As well as providing a range of undergraduate programmes in education, the Institute offers a rich menu of taught and research-based postgraduate programmes, at doctoral, masters, diploma and certificate levels. As a centre of expertise and excellence in teacher education and education more generally, the Institute hosts a range of research centres in key areas of priority and has an ambitious and growing programme of research. It further aims to strengthen the participation and voice of stakeholders, and those who have been marginalised, in matters regarding education research. Research within the Institute has a particular focus on engagement in high-quality research that improves pedagogic practices and enhances learners' experiences in formal, informal and / or non-formal learning contexts, and that informs policy-making and civil society within and beyond Ireland. Career Development is an essential part of the fellowship and the Career Development Plan must be shaped by the applicant and the supervisor prior to the start of the fellowship. Researcher Requirements
- The researcher must fulfil the MSCA-PF mobility1 criteria and should not be more than 8 years post PhD at the deadline of the call.
- Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant area of education and demonstrate a promising track record of early research achievements.

1Recruited researchers must comply with the following mobility rule: they must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the beneficiary (for European Postdoctoral Fellowships), or the host organisation for the outgoing phase (for Global Postdoctoral Fellowships) for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline (https://bit.ly/39QTUQg).
Furthermore, regarding Global Fellowships, applicants must be nationals, or long-term residents, of an EU Member State or Associated Country. (Long-term residents definition: a period of at least 5 consecutive years spent in an EU Member State or Associated Country, prior to the 14th September 2022).
