PGAC committee members

The chairperson of the PGAC this year is Emily, she is a second year PhD student in the Mary Pryce Research Group. Her research focuses on synthesising organic photosensitisers for the remediation of PFAS and pesticides in the environment.

The secretary this year is Eva, a second year PhD student who is a member of the Andrew Kellett Research Group working on optimising the stability and delivery of Artificial Metallonucleases.

John, under Dr David O'Connor, and in partnership with Met Éireann, is working to establish a first of a kind, all-Ireland atmospheric fungal spore monitoring network. He is this year's treasurer.

Patrick is a first year PhD student and is the PRO this year. He is part of the Reagan Group and analyses marine samples for the presence of chemical contaminants using LC-MS.

Katelyn, a first year PhD student, is the member's officer this year and is a member of the Mary Pryce Research Group, researching novel BODIPY-based dyes for the degradation of antibiotics in water.
