Policy documents - Research

As chemistry bridges many of the other natural sciences, research in chemistry plays a pivotal role in a sustainable and prosperous furture for us all.  The School of Chemical Sciences is focused upon simultaneously growing it's research portfolio, and creating critical mass required in prioritised areas to achieve increased international recognition.

Today the School plays a major role in several of the Faculty's large scale research successes, including the development of the National Centre for Sensor Research (NCSR), the National Institute for Cellular Biotechnology (NICB), the DCU Water Insitute (WI), The Advanced Processing Technology Research Center (APT), and the INSIGHT center for Data Analytics.

The School recognises the need to continue to support and grow its commitment to these successful initiatives and focus its research activities in thematic areas of explicit relevance to these DCU-led and national centres. In addition, the School is fully committed to promote all research activities which enhance and develop scientific education at all levels.

For both general enquiries and information on any aspects of  the School's research policies,  contact Prof. Tia Keyes , School Research Convenor.
